April BOM Craftsy 2013

Some quilts from my past:
Crib quilt for my granddaughter, "Lil' Folks"
Each applique has a meaning

This is a table topper made from watching Fons and Porter's Love of Quilting.

A basket for my daugher, inspired by Zakka Style.  She's a 2nd grade teacher.

Haha, my very first quilt from old jeans, any fabric I could get my hands on, early 70's.

My daughter asked me recently where HER quilt was...Well, it was still in the ufo pile.   I'd started it, using the tri-rec tool and companion.  When I placed it on my planning wall, I discovered that back when I'd pieced it, I wasn't so exact; so many of the blocks have some points cut off, and none are consistent sizes.

I tried different settings, scattering the "stars", and finally decided it needed some white to set it off.  I'm still not sure of the pattern, even though the "mistakes" aren't real noticeable.  I found I've gotten pickier as I piece.

I'll post some progress pics; see what you think.

Well, I had decided to sew a dress for my new granddaughter, thinking flannel and cord fabric was soft and would sew beautifully.  WRONG.  Neck seems way too big.  Sleeves of flannel too think to insert elastic. And so, taking a break,
I checked out my Amazon.com and found a book!  Indie Authors Make Better Lovers.  Okay, we shall see. :)

Ocean Sunrise quilt it!

I want to quilt this photo that I took at sunrise, then used Corel Paintshop to make into a painting...
Has anyone out here tried this?

New Quilt Time

Anxious to begin a quilt for my bed. Designing... I look for a pattern, then alter it.
